James H. Ross James has an extensive background as both an attorney and businessman. He received his undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina and Tulane Unversity and his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 1971. From 1971 to 1978, Jim served as trial attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service. From 1979 to 1991 he was involved in the development, syndication and management of managing multi-family real estate as a partner of Francis and Ross Development Company and Bollinger, Field & Ross, and as President of Glendale-based California Senior Housing Corporation. In 1991, Jim joined the law firm of Simpson & Gigounas in San Francisco where his practice involved tax litigation and general civil litigation, with an emphasis on construction disputes. In 1994, he moved to Los Angeles and joined Fleischman & Schelberg, where his practice involved transactional real estate and business matters, and business litigation. In 1997, Jim formed the law firm of Schelberg & Ross LLP with Ken Schelberg. His practice at Schelberg & Ross LLP centers principally on business litigation and various transactional matters. Jim is licensed to practice law in the states of California, Louisiana and New York. |
